The Access Fund

Financial support for students studying or serving abroad

The Access Fund provides direct financial support to students who are preparing to study, intern, or serve abroad but face financial barriers that make participation difficult.

Support may include:

  • Passport and visa fees

  • Travel stipends

  • Program-related preparation costs

  • Limited emergency pre-departure support

This fund exists to help students move from “I want to go” to “I am going.”

Who Should Apply

You are encouraged to apply if you:

  • Are a U.S. citizen or DACA recipient

  • Are participating in a study abroad program, global service experience, or international internship

  • Are a first-generation, low-income, or historically underrepresented student

  • Have confirmed or pending acceptance to a qualifying international program

How the Application Works

  1. Complete the online application

  2. Upload required documentation

  3. Applications are reviewed on a cycle-based basis

  4. Selected students are notified by email

Funding is limited. Strong applications submitted early have a real advantage.
